The Greatest Secret To Life

Have we settled the issue yet that Jesus is the only way, our only real help for living life?  “You are my Lord, I have no other help but yours.”  Psalms 16:2   What does God’s word say about the person who turns away from this help?  “That man is a fool who says to himself, there is no God!”  Psalms 14:1   “Those choosing other gods shall all be filled with sorrow;...”  Psalms 16:4   But what about the believer?  Are we truly excited about Jesus?  “I am always thinking of the Lord, and because he is so near, I never need to stumble or to fall.  Heart, body and soul are filled with joy.”  Psalms 16:8   This is the normal Christian life, devoted and delighted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   “The Lord himself is my inheritance, my prize.  He is my food and drink, my highest joy!”  Psalms 16:5   Are we daily living a life to please Jesus?  Have we invested our lives without reservation in a personal living God?  “But as for me, my contentment is not in wealth but in seeing you and knowing all is well between us.  And when I awake in heaven, I will be fully satisfied, for I will see you face to face.”  Psalms 17:15   Here on earth we are given everything a person truly needs.  “You are my hiding place from every storm of life; you even keep me from getting into trouble!  You surround me with songs of victory.  I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life;...”  Psalms 32:7,8   “...abiding love surrounds those who trust in the Lord.”  Psalms 32:10   Since Christ has provided such overwhelming and outstanding care and provision for us should we not return unceasing love and thanksgiving.  Instead of seeking other paths and those who offer false hope look to Jesus the greatest secret to life.  At last we have found the One who is worthy of the full measure of our lives and we are satisfied with Jesus.
