Living Large
Life is not for the faint-hearted. Life is hard, at times exhausting and demands a complete commitment. Living life should be a passion with keen interest, enthusiasm, and eagerness to live it to the full. 2 Corinthians 4:8 presents just a few of the obstacles that can get in our way and the Spirit-filled response to times of unrelenting life, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.” 2 Corinthians 1:8b “We were really crushed and overwhelmed, and feared we would never live through it.” 2 Corinthians 4:15 ...we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength is growing every day.” The rewards of following Christ are evident. Whenever we take time for church attendance, reading the Bible, telling others of a brand new chance at life we have invested in our spiritual life. Every time you praised and sang and gave because you wanted to your inner man became stronger. And so our faith grows and its all by God’s enabling. Despite all the challenges our outlook continues to be optimistic. 1 Corinthians 15:58 “So, my dear brothers (sisters), since future victory is sure, be strong and steady...” 2 Corinthians 4:18 “So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not seen.” So whether life is good or contains tremendous trials may we always remember the best is yet to come and live every day with single-hearted devotion to Christ.
