A Love That Will Not Let Me Go

    "I fled Him, down the nights and down the days; I fled Him, down the arches of the years... And in the midst of tears I hid from Him, and under running laughter. From those strong feet that followed, followed after." The Hound of Heaven Yes, God is pursuing us throughout our lifetime. Love compels Him. Love is the driving force. Never has he left us alone. "O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart the path ahead of me, and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment, you know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to your Spirit! I can never get away from my God!" Ps 139:1-7

    "Love is more than a characteristic of God, it is His character." Anonymous He is unable to be any other way. When we do not feel His love then we should seek a greater understanding of God’s Word. What does the scripture say about the security of God’s Word? Ps 19:7-11 "What a God he is! How perfect in every way! All his promises prove true. He is a shield for every one who hides behind him." Ps 18:3 "Show me the path where I should go, O Lord, point out the right road for me to walk. Lead me, teach me, for you are the God who gives me salvation. I have no hope except in you." Ps 25:4,5 I am so glad that His is a love that will no let me go.

He chose you to be in a close relationship with Him. "...Now you are my friends, proved by the fact that I have told you everything the Father told me. You didn’t chose me ! I chose you." John 15:15,16 Whether you know Christ personally as Savior or are still running from the Hound of Heaven I invite you to stand still and let God catch you. You will never be the same, but a person changed forever by God’s amazing love.
